Newton Police Department

Tommy D. Sanders, 52, of Newton, was charged with trespassing at 1:30 p.m. Friday after police responded to a report of a burglary at 209 S. Second Ave. E. Police found Sanders inside the residence. The owner of the property pressed charges against Sanders for trespassing. Sanders was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Kendra J. Boger, 24, of Newton, was charged with driving while barred after police stopped a vehicle with a broken rear passenger side tail light. Police stopped the vehicle in the 100 block of West Fourth Street North. Police identified the driver as Boger. She had a driving status of barred for habitual violator.
