Hawk golfers play at home in SICL action

LYNNVILLE — Lynnville-Sully’s girls won another South Iowa Cedar League golf dual at home Thursday when their opponent, Keota, did not field a full team. The Hawk girls had a 236 for the nine-hole meet.

At home on Diamond Trail Golf Course, the Lynnville-Sully boys came up second to Keota in their division. Keota had a 172 to Lynnville-Sully’s 206 and had the two lowest scores. Riley Conrad was the medalist at 39 and Jack Eakins as runner-up at 41.

Isaac Collins had the low score for the Hawk boys with a 46 and Holden Jansen was one stroke back at 47. Abram Collins shot a 53 and Trevor Squires finished at 60. Logan Ingersoll shot a 62.

Lynnville-Sully’s Tessa Van Maanen and Keota’s Jolee Walker each carded a 56 as the top two girls on the course for the day. Keota’s other girl golfer, Lauren Imhoff shot a 68.

The Hawks’ Kaylee Van Maanen, Kristine Jaennette and Mikayla Smith had a round of 60 apiece. Kayla Van Dyke finished with a 67.

Lynnville-Sully’s golf teams play at 4:15 p.m. Monday at Montezuma in SICL action.
