MAXWELL — The Collins-Maxwell/Baxter girls’ soccer team had its two-game win streak snapped Monday when it lost at home to Chariton.
The Chargers led 2-1 at halftime and went on to defeat the Raiders 5-2.
The loss dropped CMB to 3-3 on the season. Chariton has won four of its last five games and is now 5-2 on the season.
Freshmen Maya Phelps and Cailtyn Bruntz scored a goal apiece for the Raiders. Bruntz now has seven goals on the season, while Phelps scored for the second time.
The Raiders host Prairie City-Monroe (0-7) at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Maxwell.
