Kinetic Edge donates $1,000 to local schools

Newton Daily News

Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy presented three local Jasper County schools with donations totaling to $1,000 for their extra-curricular activities. The recipient high schools included Newton, Baxter and Colfax-Mingo.

The donation came from Kinetic Edge’s Join the Movement program which donates to local organizations on behalf of people who refer new clients to them. Kinetic Edge chose to support local schools for the first quarter of 2017 as a result of their passion for students. They invest countless hours keeping student athletes healthy through their athletic training and physical therapy services.

“We have a passion for helping people by supporting healthy, active and educational activities,” Newton Clinic Manager and physical therapist Matt Scotton said. “Our local schools provide excellent opportunities through extra-curricular activities programs. It’s our pleasure to support these programs in our local schools.”

Kinetic Edge’s goal is to be a generous organization. One of their core business values is that “a healthy business is one that consistently demonstrates trust, value, and generosity.” Donations such as this one are their way to share and achieve their vision of creating communities of healthy, happy and hope-filled people.

“Join the movement is literal in that we invite people to join in moving better physically, but it’s also figurative in that we’re doing therapy differently,” marketing specialist Lindsey Klyn said. “We’re an organization established on Christian principles, and we demonstrate that in the care we give our clients, as well as in our commitment to giving back to the community.”

Their movement seems to be catching on. Kinetic Edge is serving more people than ever, which in turn allows them to be more generous than ever. In 2016 alone, they donated almost $30,000 to local organizations amongst their five locations.

Kinetic Edge has clinics in Pella, Des Moines, Oskaloosa, Newton and Ames and consults throughout the state of Iowa and beyond. Their services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, worker performance, athletic training, pediatric therapy and medical fitness.
