Terry Branstad made an appearance in Newton Thursday afternoon to sign copies of “Iowa’s Record Setting Governor: The Terry Branstad Story.” He was joined at the YMCA by the book’s author, Mike Chapman, who was also there to promote his new book “A Journey.” It was likely Branstad’s last visit to Newton before he takes over as United States Ambassador to China.
