ISU student from Newton will present research at Iowa’s State Capitol

AMES — Iowa State University student Jacob Hill, of Newton, will be among 25 ISU undergraduates who present their research to legislators and others during the ninth annual “Research in the Capitol” on Tuesday.

Hill, who majors in environmental science and biology, will present “Nitrogen Composition of Cup Plant Changes with Growth Stage and Differs from Neighboring Species in Response to Varying Plant Community Diversity.”

The presentations will be in the rotunda of the State Capitol building in Des Moines. The event highlights the importance of research to the undergraduate learning experience.
