The Newton Community School District Board of Education will gather for its regular meeting Monday evening at the EJH Beard Administration Center with discussion of the proposed budget and tax rate for 2018 topping the agenda.

Following the discussion of the budget, led by Director of Business Services Gayle Isaac, the board will vote on a date, time and place for a public hearing on the budget. The current recommendation is for 6:45 p.m. on April 10 at the administration building.
