Charlotte Ann Williams

Feb. 15, 2017

Charlotte Ann Williams was born in Newton, Oct. 7, 1937, and peacefully entered heaven’s golden gates Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017. She resided in Alamogordo, N.M., with her loving husband of 21 years, Ted Williams Jr., and their sweet chocolate labrador retriever, Coco.

She will be remembered for her sophisticated style and kindness to others in need, as well as her hearty laugh. Anyone who knew Charlotte recognized her love of antiques and collectables that gave her much joy. She could spend hours reminiscing about these treasures that filled their home. She too found pleasure in her hobby; filling her antique space with items she loved and sold to the public.

Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, William “Bill” Cox, Ella Breckenridge of Iowa and her beloved Grandma Arvilla Bowie. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Smith, Melody Davidsmeier, Kelly Carrera-Host and DeeAnna Carrera; granddaughter, RyAnn Smith; as well as her sons-in-law, Dan Davidsmeier, Barry Host and Greg Lopez. Also surviving are her brother, Lonnie Cox; and Ted’s children, Audrey Powell and Teddy Williams III; other relatives and many friends.

With much gratitude, we thank our step-dad, Ted, who was an amazingly strong advocate and honored her wishes — he loved her so very much and will dearly miss the “perfect woman for him.” He “loved her with all his heart.”

There are many people who will miss her, and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 12365 Lewis St., Garden Grove, CA 92840, where children survive and thrive, and families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food. Please mention Charlotte Williams when donating. Your generous donation would make Charlotte most pleased.
