Narcotics task force seizes drugs, arrest Grinnell man

The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force and the Grinnell Police Department seized illegal drugs from a Grinnell residence Sunday and arrested a 19-year-old at the home.

Authories executed a search warrant at 7:35 p.m. at 1024 Pearl Street where police found illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Trace Garrett Hicks Froias, of the residence, was charged with possession of a scheduled II with intent to deliver, a Class C felony, ossession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana, serious misdemeanors and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Froias was arrested and taken to the Poweshiek County Jail.

The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force is based in Des Moines and currently has 21 central Iowa local, county, state and federal agencies participating in the task force, including the Jasper County Sherriff’s Office.
