A packed house was on hand Friday night at Sugar Grove Vineyards and Gathering Place for the Purses with Purpose, a fundraiser for Newton Convention and Visitors Bureau. Those in attendance took many trips browsing the items up for auction with some purses full of goodies going for more than $300.
