The public is invited to an open house from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Newton Public Library, 100 N. Third Ave. W. to learn about upcoming projects and provide input. Staff from City of Newton Departments, including Public Works and Parks, will be on hand to offer information and answer questions about projects. The projects included are:

• Asphalt street mill/overlay at various locations

• A turn around on West 22nd Street South in Fountain Hills subdivision
• Design reconstruction of Union Drive and West Fourth Street North
• Design Iowa Speedway Drive concrete overlay
• Design First Avenue East asphalt pavement mill/overlay and sidewalks
