Fredrick D. Tweh, 38, of Des Moines, was charged with driving while license revoked at 10:44 p.m. Tuesday. Tweh was driving in the 800 block of North 19th Avenue East when he was pulled over for having bright lights on. Tweh told police he didn't have his license, but he was driving because his sister, who was a passenger, is pregnant. Tweh's license had been revoked in October of 2016 because of an OWI. Tweh was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail. The passenger was allowed to leave in the vehicle.

Jasper County Sheriff’s Office

Brian A. Light, 50, of Hudson, Ohio, is charged with possession of controlled substance, after a vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped for a tail light being out at 10:56 p.m. Monday on Interstate 80 East. The vehicle smelled like marijuana when the deputy was talking to Light. Light told the deputy there was marijuana in the vehicle and handed the deputy a used marijuana joint. A search was done on the rest of the vehicle and 16.1 grams of marijuana was found in the vehicle. Light told the deputy he bought the marijuana from a dispensary in Colorado, where he spent around $127 at the store. It was determined the marijuana belonged only to Light. Light was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Jayme L. Peterson, 34, of Grinnell, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying weapons at 2:01 a.m. Tuesday in the 6200 block of Highway 6 East. Peterson was pulled over for driving without a license plate. The deputy found Peterson also had a warrant and a suspended driver’s license. During Peterson’s arrest, several needles were found, a spoon with white residue and two used needles. Peterson told the deputy the items were hers, and that she is a methamphetamine user. During the search, an electrical weapon was also found in Peterson’s purse. Peterson was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Joel G. Case, 37, of Colfax, was charged with first-degree theft at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday when the sheriff’s office received information about the possible location of some motorcycles and motorcycle parts that had been reported stolen in Jasper County in September 2016, and that Case was allegedly in possession of the stolen items. Law enforcement received information Case was allegedly storing the items at a storage facility located at 1201 Northeast 56th St. in Pleasant Hill. The Pleasant Hill Police Department said Case was seen by one of their officers putting totes of what appeared to be mechanical parts such as, gauges, possibly from motorcycles, into a storage unit. The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and the Pleasant Hill Police Department executed a search warrant at the storage facility Tuesday, where Case and two other males were found. Case was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
