Eloise Mae Krajnovich, 97, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at Newton Village Care Center. Eloise was born May 12, 1919, in Clinton. She was a graduate of the Clinton Senior High School and was a lifelong resident of Iowa. She was employed by the Vernon Company in Newton for 25 years, retiring in April 1986 as a proofreader. Eloise was a longtime member of the Newton First Presbyterian Church.
Eloise Mae is survived by her daughter, Carol Lucas; son, Ronald E. (Sandy) Krajnovich; grandchildren, Nicole (Lucas) Mercer, Natalie (Lucas) Goodin, Kristopher Krajnovich and Timothy Krajnovich; great-grandchildren, Lucas Mercer and Lauren Mercer; and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Emma (Kennedy) Davis; her husband, Eli Krajnovich; and a son-in-law, Jerry Lucas.
The Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements. A time of remembrance and celebration of life will be at a later date at the Newton Village. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family in Eloise's name or a charity of your choosing.
