6 p.m. Wednesday — Looking to improve your health or lose a few extra pounds? Join Hy-Vee dietitian, Emily Ring, as she offers tips for weight management while dishing up delicious, healthy snacks. This program is free and open to the public. Call 641-792-4108 to register.
Moravian Stars Class
6 p.m. Thursday — Make your own Moravian star and learn about the history of these German paper ornaments. Ages 13 and older, all materials provided. Please call 641-792-4108 to register.
Read to a Certified
Therapy Dog
3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 16 — The library will have a certified therapy dog in the children’s department to listen to children read. This friendly golden retriever is certified with Therapy Dogs International, and loves children. Volunteer Cynthia Healy and her dog will be at the puzzle table area in the library to give your child a chance to practice reading aloud. No appointment necessary, just stop by and take your turn reading aloud for a few minutes. With questions, call Youth Services Librarian Phyllis Peter at 641-792-4108.
