Jasper County Sheriff’s Office
• Justin B. Kay, 27, and Destiny A. Blazek, 21, both of Cedar Falls, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance at 3:02 p.m. Dec. 25 after a deputy pulled Kay over for having a suspended license on Interstate 80 east. Kay told police he knew he didn’t have a license. Kay also admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle and to smoking it. Blazek handed the deputy a glass tube with a cork and marijuana inside of it and other paraphernalia. Kay and Blazek were arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
• Churie M. Congdon, 28, of Reasnor, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 4:03 a.m. Dec. 26 after a deputy joined a vehicle pursuit in the 13100 block of Highway F70 West. Congdon was the passenger in the fleeing vehicle and had a black backpack with a syringe, which she stated she used two days previously with methamphetamine. Congdon was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
• Chad L. Page, 30, of Kellogg, was charged with possession of controlled substance at 7:04 p.m. Dec. 28 after he was driving with a brake and tail light out in the 200 block of Blair Street. Page didn’t have a license. A deputy found a burnt cigarette that smelled of marijuana. Page told the deputy he had smoked marijuana in the vehicle. He told the deputy there was a pipe in a bag in a lunch pale. Page was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
