• Larry G. Groenenboom, 64, of Pella, is cited with vehicle entering stop or yield intersection, after a collision at 6:26 p.m. Wednesday. Groenenboom was driving eastbound in the 400 block of South Second Avenue West, as Alisyn N. Pinkerton, 24, of Newton, was traveling northbound in the 200 block of West Fourth Street South. Groenenboom failed to stop at the stop sign and entered the intersection. Pinkerton didn’t have any traffic controls and entered the intersection. Groenenboom struck the passenger side of Pinkerton’s vehicle. Groenenboom told police he didn’t see the stop sign and didn’t stop before the intersection. He was issued a citation.
