Mouchka honored at cording ceremony

AMES – Jessica Mouchka, of Newton, was honored at a cording ceremony on Dec. 16 for successfully completing Iowa State’s Educator Preparation Program. This honor designates their rank as a professional educator. Graduates who attended the ceremony were bestowed with cords of light blue, the traditional color of academic tassels worn by those in the field of education.

The program is coordinated by the School of Education in the College of Human Sciences, but graduates include students from many colleges. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences was represented by graduates in English Education, History Education, Math Education, Music Education, and Spanish Education.

Mouchka graduated with a degree in Mathematics.
