Newton Community School District Superintendent Bob Callaghan announced Sunday the district will perform a test of its weather alert system on Tuesday morning.
He said he wants the community to know the test will be forthcoming and encourages parents, students, teachers and other to be aware their email and/or text messaging alerts will be activated by the test.
