Two YPJC selected for state award

Two member of the Young Professionals of Jasper County have been selected as finalists for the Young Professionals of the Year Award.

Jessica Lowe, Executive Director of the United Way of Jasper County was selected for the YPC Ashley Okland Community Service Award which is given to a YP who exemplified the volunteerism and spirit of late YPC board member. Nathan Unsworth, Administrative Park Superintendent for the City of Newton was selected for the YPC Amy Jenning YP Impact Award which is given to a young professional who demonstrates a dedication to creating a vibrant community that attracts and retains young professionals. Lowe and Unsworth are one of the three finalist for the awards.

For the first time, the public is able to vote for the winner. Voting is open until 11:59 p.m. Dec. 18 at YP16.dmJuice.com. The winners will be announced at the 2016 Central Iowa YP of the Year awards ceremony on Feb. 9 at Sticks, Inc.
