Water means life for all

My heart breaks when I see what is happening in Standing Rock. I know some of them.

I wonder if the farmers understand what my brothers and sisters are doing for them too. Why my sisters and brothers are doing are for them too.

What my sisters and brothers have endured is unreal. They have been peaceful but steadfast.

As they slept they have had bulldozers dig up their camp and men urinate on their property. Their horses have been killed and faces have been shot with rubber bullets and bean bags.

We have had one pipeline blow up in Alabama but no explanation or media coverage from it. Shame on them.

This is “Life” Water means “Life.” We have pushed and shoved our first people of America as far as we can. Now just how much more can we expect? We aren’t even thinking of ourselves.

It takes a lot to not get upset. When you walk to bulldoze sacred grounds or where they get food they have every right to be upset. What if if you went to pay tribute to a grandfather and found him dug up? Shame on you. Haven’t we done enough to them? Sheer greed. It’s sheer greed.

We have taken just about everything from my people. Can we leave them something?

Shame on all of us.
