Kellogg Down Home Christmas is Dec. 3-4

The Kellogg Historical Society has announced the return of the Down Home Christmas celebration Dec. 3-4.

This Christmas brings together Christmas memories of the past and present. The two-day festival begins at 7 a.m. Dec. 3 with the Lions Club Breakfast at Holmdahl Park. Freewill donations will be accepted. Then from 11 a.m. from 4 p.m. the museum complex will be open for viewing of the Christmas decorations. A tea table will be set up in the main building.

At 1 p.m., Bethel church will present a program of music by “Rickety Road.” A School House Museum program will be presented by Mary Ann Van Maaren at 2:15 p.m. Santa will arrive at 3:15 p.m. with treats sponsored by the Kellogg Fire Department.

The celebration continues on Dec. 4 with the museum open once again from 11 to 4 p.m. for viewing, complete with tea table. Bethel Church will lead a hymn sing at 1 p.m. and the school program will be presented again at 2:15 p.m. At 3 p.m., Bethel Church will present another music program with “The Accordz.”

Both days will featured a table in the main museum building with baked goods and flea market items that have been donated for sale. The music is sponsored by Partner Communications Cooperative.
