Newton native author to discuss latest book at library

Meet Local Author
Liz Costanzo

1 to 3 p.m. Thursday — Join local author, Liz Costanzo, for a discussion of her new book, “Flashback.” This Vietnam era novel is set in Newton and appeals to readers of all ages. The adult meet-and-greet is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m., with a separate teen event taking place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served at both events.

Adult Coloring

6 p.m. Nov. 7 — Relax and unwind with a coloring book. All materials provided, adults only.

eBooks for Everyone

2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 9 — Drop in between 2 and 4 p.m. to learn how to download library eBooks to your device for free. Attendees should bring their Newton Public Library card, device and charger.

Art on a Cart

2 p.m. Nov. 14 — Join us for an afternoon of paper collage. This creative, hands on program features a different craft or art project each month and is designed to be inclusive of teens and adults of all abilities. All materials are provided. Ages 13 and older.

LEGOs at the Library

1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 28 — Kids in kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to a LEGO afternoon in the Library meeting room. LEGOs will be provided by the library, don’t bring your own. Children ages 10 and under should bring a parent or adult guardian along with them. Please contact Phyllis Peter at 641-792-4108.

Knit Night

6 p.m. Nov. 28 — Bring your knitting or crochet project to the library for this relaxed social hour. Share tips, swap yarn, and socialize with friends. Light refreshments will be provided.

To learn how to download eBooks and eAudiobooks you can stop at the Information Desk at any time during regular hours for help. If you would like more help with your device (setting up email, changing settings, etc.), call the library to make an appointment with Rebecca, 641-792-4108.
