GLADBROOK — Second-ranked Gladbrook-Reinbeck handed Colfax-Mingo its fourth straight loss after out-gaining the Tigerhawks by 200 yards during a 73-0 win in Class A District 5 action Friday.
Colfax-Mingo turned it over five times in the loss and gained only 137 total yards.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck led 35-0 after one quarter and 59-0 at halftime. The Rebels scored five touchdowns of 50 yards or more. They also returned two interceptions for touchdowns in the third quarter and returned two punts for scores.
Colfax-Mingo junior Reegan Van Dyke threw for 115 yards and two interceptions, while freshman Brady Berkey tossed 17 yards and one pick.
Junior Jarod Nichols gained 51 yards on six catches, while junior Alex Lewis had four catches for 37 yards and senior Adam Teed hauled in three passes for 28 yards.
Teed led the defense with 9.5 tackles and two tackles for loss. Nichols had five tackles and one sack, and senior Jimmy Camp finished with four tackles.
The Tigerhawks (1-8 overall, 1-6 in district play) rushed for 16 yards in 26 attempts.
Hunter Lott completed four passes for the Rebels, but two of those went for TDs.
Gladbrook-Reinbeck (9-0, 7-0) completed its first undefeated regular season in school history. The defending Class A champions outscored district opponents 338-32. The Rebels recorded three shutouts in their six district games.
