Norma Jean (Koon) Rudolph, 70, of Bellevue, Neb., died at 8:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at the UNMC. She was born May 25, 1946, in Newton, to Lowell and Margaret (Lowery) Koon. She graduated from Newton Senior High School with the class of 1966. She lived in Newton for most of her life until she moved to Bellevue, Neb., in 2001. She enjoyed playing cards and dice but mostly her joy was spending time with her family, friends and her many pets.

She is survived by her two children, David Rudolph of Omaha and Melinda Sholley (Vernon) of Bellevue; six grandchildren, Ali Miller, Amber Sholley, Thomas Rudolph, Savannah Rudolph, Johnathon Rudolph and Kyle (Andrew) Rudolph; two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Parker Miller; and a brother, Craig (Elizabeth) Koon of Longmont, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell Koon; her mother, Margaret Koon; her sister, Helen Koon; her brother, James (Jim) Koon; and her sister, Judy Bramble.

A celebration of life/memorial service is from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Baxter City Hall Community Building, 203 S. Main St. with a visit to Bethel Cemetery following the service.
