Man who broke infant’s bones gets 10 years in Iowa prison

CHARLES CITY — An Iowa man has been imprisoned for breaking the bones of an infant. Court records say 21-year-old William Khuns, of Charles City, was sentenced Monday in Floyd County District Court to 10 years. He’d pleaded guilty to child endangerment resulting in serious injury after prosecutors agreed to drop a second count. Prosecutors say Khuns squeezed the infant in August until the baby’s ribs broke and twisted one of the baby’s arms behind its back in September.
