Contra dancing returns to the Harvest Barn Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Jasper County Community Center, 2401 First Ave. E. in Newton.
Melon Farmer will be playing and Reid Miller calling. Admission is asked as a $5 to $10 donation and a family is $20 to $30.
Get your contra dancing groove on and squares, circles and techno will be offered as well. Attend and listen or dance. Instruction is provided. Partner and experience are optional. Alcohol and fragrances are prohibited.
