Locals awarded ISU scholarships

AMES — The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University has awarded more than 2,250 scholarships to students for the 2016-17 academic year.

The college and its departments award more than $3 million in scholarships each year.

Joshua Gunsaulus, of Newton, received the Iowa Farm Bureau Scholarship; Emily Hugen, of Monroe, received the Kline Family Scholarships in Agriculture; Kathryn Vry, of Mingo, recieved the Nadyne Harris Endowed Scholarship; Travis Gabeler, of Prairie City, recevied the Agriculture General Scholarship; and Nathan Vande Wall, of Prairie City, received the Chicago Farmers Club Scholarship.
