Breckenridge is an asset to Jasper County

Jasper County residents should be proud to have someone like Wes Breckenridge on the ballot this November. A native of Jasper County, Wes has been giving back to the community his whole life. I have had the honor of getting to know Wes and his family both personally and professionally, and can attest to the amazing person he is and what an asset he would be in the Iowa House of Representatives. I have walked the streets of Jasper County and talked to hundreds of voters who all want the same thing: someone who listens to and cares about the people they represent.

If the presidential election has you fed up, please don’t forget what’s at stake down the ballot. The Iowa Legislature makes decisions impacting our daily lives; this race is too important to write off. As a member of the LGBT community, I trust Wes as an advocate in the fight for equality and justice. As a Newton Police Lieutenant, Wes knows a thing or two about justice and fighting for what’s right. His lifelong commitment to advocacy and improving the community around him will work to the benefit of all who call Jasper County “home.” Early voting has already started at the county auditor’s office and by mail. I hope you’ll join me, and so many others, in supporting Wes Breckenridge to be the voice of House District 29.
