Holy Trinity to host Luke, reform study groups

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will offer study opportunities for adults during October at the church, 1409 S. Eighth Ave. E. in Newton.

— The study of Luke: The Apostolic Gospel will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays. The four sessions are: Sinners and Saints, An Unholy Alliance, The King of the Jews and Crucified and Raised. The group is led by presenter David Tiede, president and professor at Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minn. A light supper for study participants is always available each Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m.

— The study “Jesus’ Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard” will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday.

— The seven-week adult study group “Reformation Overview” will begin at 9 a.m. on Sundays. The series examines several of the prominent church reformers through this DVD series produced by the Christian History Institute.
