The sixth annual Fareway Stores MDA Golf Classic raised more than $78,000 for MDA of Iowa, making it the best year yet for the annual tournament held at the Tournament Club of Iowa.
“The annual golf classic is just another way Fareway and our vendor partners can help MDA in their fight to work towards finding a cure for muscle-debilitating diseases,” said Frederick Greiner, Fareway president and chief operating officer.
The money raised at the event helps fund research on muscular dystrophy and a state-of-the-art care center at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and helps send kids to MDA Summer Camp.
