Dale J. Wallace

Dale J. Wallace, formally of Lynnville, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, surrounded by his wife and family in his home Estero, Fla.

Dale was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Norman County, Minn., to William Wallace and Alice Dewitt. He is survived by his wife (DeLoris Van Weelden) of 46 years; his children, Donovan and Patrica Wallace, Regina Wallace, Kent Wallace, Shawn and Craig Retman, Kirk Van Rees; sister, Joan Dieken; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents; his son, Bret Van Rees; infant grandson, Dale Morgan; and two brothers, Paul and Ralph.

There will be no services at this time. At a later date a celebration of life will take place in Iowa for Dale.

Any donations to Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, Fla., or the American Legion in Newton will be greatly appreciated.
