Woman gets deferred judgment for misconduct

OSAGE — A former Osage school board member accused of stealing from the Mitchell County Treasurer’s Office has received a deferred judgment. Tracey Mooberry, 46, who had worked as a clerk in the treasurer’s office from 2011 until May, was also put on probation Friday for a year and fined $350. She originally was charged with felony theft but pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of misconduct in office. Authorities say the thefts occurred in the last few weeks of her employment.
