Man convicted of killing grandparents is resentenced

MANCHESTER — A man convicted as a teenager of killing his grandparents in Manchester has been resentenced to life in prison with a chance of parole. Judge Michael Shubatt last week resentenced 21-year-old Isaiah R. Sweet, who had been serving a life sentence with no chance at parole.

Sweet was convicted of fatally shooting his grandparents in 2012, when he was 17. He appealed his sentence to the Iowa Supreme Court.
