Newton resident Dennis Farland was inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at a Labor Day ceremony. Farland was inducted as part of the hall’s 2016 class and presented with the IRRMA Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to rock music as a promoter and historian.
