This September, the Skiff Hospital Auxiliary Board is holding a membership drive, hoping to double its current membership. Membership dues are $20 for single/family per year or $250.00 for a lifetime membership. The auxiliary is responsible for: funding the delivery of flowers to patients admitted to the hospital, purchasing copies of the Newton Daily News for patients each day, scheduling the blood drive twice each year, providing Telecare service to persons homebound, awarding scholarships to qualified applicants going into the health field – in 2016, $23,000 was awarded.
Also, the auxiliary is responsible for donating funds to various equipment and project needs in the hospital, staffing the ambassador desk in the hospital lobby, staffing and purchasing inventory for the hospital gift shop, hosting a fall membership luncheon, publishing a newsletter to members twice yearly and assist with planning of the annual gala fund raiser in conjunction with the Skiff Foundation.
So whether you wish to join the auxiliary and assist with any of the auxiliary projects or simply donate dues, we need you this fall. Be a part of an organization that makes a difference in the lives of people each day. Membership forms are available in the hospital gift shop or from any board member.
