Newton has been known for many years for its sense of “Red Pride.” More recently we have added another motto: “Get To Know Newton.”
The “Red Pride” sentiment has been very well preserved and carried forward with the new: administration/WEST academy building on the west side of town, and we can, with much “Red Pride” tell others to come to “Get To Know Newton.”
We now have the same opportunity to continue with more improvements on the east side of town and bring the Berg Complex back to a place of Red Pride and tell others to get to know us.
We both took advantage of touring the elementary wing and the 7th/8th wing during recent open houses. The Berg Complex really needs much help and it is such that repairing just isn’t going to do the job.
It really should be replaced with a new facility that we can look at and use with much Red Pride.
