I’m starting off by apologizing for stepping on anyone’s toes but this issue needs to be addressed. I commute every day to Des Moines and it is sad to say that Jasper County drivers are the worst ones on the road.
I had enough today when I was behind two Jasper cars, they were driving side by side, blocking both lanes and going 7 miles under the speed limit. If you want to go slower, get in the right lane. The left lane is for faster traffic and for passing. When there is a line of cars being held up by the first one, nine out of 10 times, it turns out to be from Jasper.
People, look in the rearview mirror. If there is a parade, get over. You may have all day to get where you are going, but I don’t. Go with the flow of traffic. If you are going to work in Des Moines, learn how to drive like you are in a big city. Just get going or get over.
