BURLINGTON — Burlington has been preparing to light the steeples of several churches and other buildings as part of project to illuminate the city.
Six churches, the Des Moines County Heritage Center and the Majestic Estate, a church-turned-wedding venue, will have their steeples lighted with LED lights during a ceremony on Friday.
The lights are mounted on posts. The ceremony will be the culmination of phase one of the Burlington Lightscape Project.
