DES MOINES — Alice Grimm of Riverside received Best of Show honors in the Crochet division of the Fabric and Threads contest judged prior to the start of the 2016 Iowa State Fair.
Jessica Weinreich, of Oskaloosa, took home the Sweepstakes Honors.
Patricia Swan, of Newton, placed in several categories of the competition. She recevied second place in Tablecloth (over 54 inches in diameter), fourth place in Centerpiece (14-21 inches in diameter) and honrable mention in Centerpiece (22-30 inches in diameter).
Stephanie Cline, of Prairie City, also earned honors in the comptitions. She places second in Afghan (stitch other), third place in Baby Afghan and honorable mention in Lace Edging.
