DES MOINES — Cindy Baldwin, of Coralville, was awarded Best of Show and Sweepstake honors in the Counted Thread Techniques contest judged prior to the start of the 2016 Iowa State Fair.
Janice Blubaugh, of Colfax, earned second place in the Swedish Weaving competition.
Contestants were judged on design, workmanship and finishing.
The Fabric and Threads exhibits are on display every day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building sponsored by Principal Financial Group.
