• Alcoholics Anonymous Beginner’s Support Group will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 223 E. Fourth St. N. in Newton.

• Women of Serenity will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Discover Hope in Newton. It is a faith-based addiction recovery program for women.

• Newton Daily News will host a free community movie showing of “All the President’s Men” at 1 p.m. Friday at the Capitol II Theatre in Newton. All the President’s Men (1976) is an American political thriller about the The Washington Post investigation of the Watergate scandal starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman as journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein. A 16 ounce pop and 32 ounce popcorn will be available for $3.

• Penny Bingo will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Jasper County Senior Citizens Center, 702 E. Third St. S. in Newton.
