More than 60 athletes from the MAT Trampoline and Tumbling Team qualified and traveled to Tennessee to participate in thenational championships. The 2016 national championship was the largest ever in USTA history with more than 2,500 athletes competing from all across the country in power tumbling, Olympic trampoline and double mini trampoline events. This year’s national championships proved successful for the MAT Team as they took home the honor of being named the No. 1 Power Tumbling Team in the nation for the second year in a row.

Five other MAT Team members also performed a routine and demonstration on Wednesday as a part of the USTA’s All Star Team. Those team members were: Chelsea Trotter, Emma Bair, Kyah Siegert, Mia Giannetto, and Joseph Rechtfertig. Just like the Elite National Team, those MAT athletes will be a part of the All Star Team for two years.

The following are the results for the 2016 USTA National Championships. These are the overall results; flight results would have been higher, as some groups had up to eight flights (80 competitors).
