WATERLOO — Some Waterloo residents are teaming up with city council members in an effort to get security cameras installed around the city.
The group wants to model its plan on Dubuque’s, which installed cameras last year around the downtown area.
Dubuque police have said they were able to use video from the cameras last month to catch a gang leader linked to a number of crimes, including rioting, harassment and carrying weapons.
