Qualifying for national competition

Two members of the InMotion Dance Company recently attended the Midwest Starz National Dance Competition where their duet “Legit” scored in the top three overall out of 30 duets and qualified them for the Midwest Starz Grand National Competition. The girls returned to Dubuque and competed again for a second place grand national champion score. Rylinn Peterson and Emma Noel will begin their fourth year performing a duet together this fall. Rylinn is the daughter of Josh and Melissa Peterson of Newton. Emma is the daughter of Mark and Callie Swank of Reasnor and Howard and Mindi Noel, of Newton. The girls duet is choreographed by Amanda Roberts. InMotion Dance Studio is owned by Michelle Walker-O’Brien.
