• Brent L. Skinner, 51, of Des Moines, is charged with public intoxication after authorities were called at 9 p.m. Wednesday to 1421 First Ave. E. Officers were called about an assault and found Skinner sitting against a cab. He had bloodshot, watery eyes and his speech was slurred. He had a BAC of .141. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Aimee L. Marvelli, 42, of Des Moines, was arrested on a Polk County warrant after authorities were called at 4:22 p.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of South 12th Avenue West. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Colleen J. Vasque, 60, of Marshalltown, is charged with two counts of forgery after authorities were called at 10:42 a.m. June 8 to Advantage Credit Union. Officers found Vasque was trying to cash forged checks. Vasque said the checks were from her daughter and she was cashing them for her. The checks totaled $5,000. She was cited and released to appear.

• Paul F. Tokpa, 36, of Newton, is charged with operating while under the influence after authorities were called at 1:57 a.m. Sunday to 1301 W. 16th St. S. Officers were called about an accident involving an intoxicated person. They found Tokpa laying at the base of a staircase of an apartment building. He had bloodshot, watery eyes and smelled of alcohol. Officers found the keys to the vehicle involved in the accident in his pockets, as well. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Jon P. Golinvaux, 63, of Newton, is charged with assault causing bodily injury after authorities were called at 2:35 a.m. Sunday to the 1000 block of West Third Street South. Officers were called about a domestic assault and spoke with Golinvaux and the victim who admitted to being involved in an altercation. The victim said Golinvaux grabbed her arms and yelled at her. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
