Darlene (Fuller) Gunn

Darlene Anne (Fuller) Gunn, formerly of Newton, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton on Friday, July 8 at 10:30 a.m. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church burial will follow mass at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorials may be designated to the Catholic Charity of your choice.

Darlene Anne Fuller was born May 7, 1929 in Independence, the daughter of James Fuller and Anna (Mosher) Fuller. Darlene graduated from Jesup High School in 1946. She attended beauty school and while working as a beautician in Vinton, she met Boyd Gunn. They were united in marriage Oct. 6, 1951 in Jesup.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; her son, Brian; three daughters in infancy; and her two brothers, Charles and Lyle. She is survived by two sons; David and Heather of California and Stephen and Susan (Donohoe) and their three children, Emily, Molly, and Colin of Cedar Rapids.
