Tigerhawks win third straight, down C-N

ZEARING — The Colfax-Mingo baseball team won its third straight game Wednesday during a 10-6 road victory over Colo-NESCO.

The Tigerhawks finished with 11 hits to get their overall record to 14-14. Senior Jacob Buehrer had three hits and a scored a run, while sophomore Alex Lewis was 2-for-2 with two runs. Junior Adam Teed added one hit, one run and one RBI.

Lewis started the game and earned the win after allowing four earned runs on three hits in 1 2/3 innings pitched.

Sophomore Jonathan Jacobs came into the game in the second inning and shut down the Royals (14-10) the rest of the game. Jacobs allowed one earned run on three hits with five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Colfax-Mingo plays at 7 p.m. Thursday at Central Decatur.
