Person biking for charity killed by car

WEST LIBERTY — The Iowa State Patrol says a bicyclist participating in the third annual “pEDaling for Pancreatic Cancer” fundraiser was killed after being hit by a car. The crash happened just after 9:30 a.m. Saturday in West Liberty. The victim’s name, age and gender have not been released. Patrol investigators say a 28-year-old West Liberty man was driving a car southbound when he hit the bicyclist.
