inMotion dancers compete in national competition

The inMotion Dance Company of Newton went to Midwest Starz National Dance Competition June 23-26.

They performed six dances; “Fire n’ Gold” (Gracie Rorabaugh) platinum rating, fourth overall and an alternate for grand nationals, “Can’t Touch It” (Rylinn Peterson) high gold rating and eighth overall, “Worth It” (Emma Noel) platinum rating, seventh overall and an alternate for grand nationals, “Legit” (Rylinn Peterson and Emma Noel) platinum rating, second overall, entered in to Grand Nationals and ended with second place Grand National Champions, “You Can Tell She’s a Princess” (Brooklyn Yanske) high gold rating, “Drop” (Zion Dickey, Macey Caves, Emma Noel, Rylinn Peterson, Josi Swihart, Olivia Aker, Zoe Hall and Gracie Rorabuagh) platinum rating and seventh overall.

This was inMotion’s first national competition since 2009. The inMotion dance company is directed by Amanda Roberts with choreography from Roberts and Michelle Walker-O’Brien, Owner of inMotion Center.
