PCM’s Seebeck, Kohlhof, CMB’s Fricke land on HOIC first team

Collins-Maxwell/Baxter sophomore Carter Fricke made a name for himself when he scored six goals in one game against West Central Valley.

Prairie City-Monroe sophomore Misha Seebeck was the Mustangs’ go-to scorer all season, and senior Ryan Kohlhof also had a big impact on PCM’s offensive unit.

All three area athletes were recently named to the Heart of Iowa Conference first team.

Fricke finished with eight goals and one assist in helping get the Raider boys soccer program back off the ground. CMB finished 2-12 in its comeback season.

PCM’s Seebeck scored seven goals and tallied one assist on the season, leading the Mustangs to a 3-11 season.

Kohlhof tallied two goals and had one assists for the Mustangs.

Honorable mention selections for the Mustangs included juniors Chase Kuecker, Zac Read and Leevi Telfer.

Gilbert went 10-7 this past season. Leading the Tigers was unanimous first-team selection Noel Steckelberg.

The other unanimous first-team pick was Nevada’s Bennett Thompson. His teammate Brendan Sellberg led the conference with 10 goals and five assists.
